Ink the octopus and the mermaid
An Inkly Story
Deep in the twinkling sea, where the sunlight danced through bubbles and coral castles swayed with the current, lived a cheerful little octopus named Ink.
Ink wasn’t just any octopus—she had a magical wand and a heart full of curiosity.
One morning, Ink was twirling through the kelp forest when she heard something unusual…
Sniff. Sniffle. Sniff.
It was coming from behind a sea sponge!
“Hello?” Ink called gently.
Out peeked a mermaid with bright red hair and sea stars in her hair.
“Oh! Hi,” the mermaid said shyly. “I’m Marina. I wanted to go to the Coral Ball tonight… but I lost my sparkle pearl necklace in the sand!”
Ink gave a kind smile. “That’s okay! I’m great at finding things.”
Together, they zipped through the sea:
They searched under swaying seagrass.
They peeked behind sleeping sea turtles.
They even asked a polite crab named Clive.
But still—no sparkle pearl.
“I guess I’ll just stay home,” Marina sighed.
Ink thought hard. Then she remembered… she had magic. Not big, show-offy magic—but gentle, helpful magic that worked best when someone needed it most.
She raised her wand and whispered:
“Wiggle wand, bubbles swirl, help us find Marina’s pearl!”
Suddenly—POOF!
A tiny swirl of light floated toward a coral reef, sparkling brighter and brighter… until they saw it:
The sparkle pearl necklace, caught on a drift of seaweed!
“You did it!” Marina beamed.
Ink blushed a little. “We did it together.”
That night at the Coral Ball, Marina danced with her necklace glowing, and Ink twirled through the bubbles with joy.
They were the best kind of friends—the kind who listen, help, and never give up.
